The Detroit Tigers have two of the best players in the majors in ace Justin Verlander and slugger Miguel Cabrera. The rest of the roster is holding up quite nicely, too. Wilson Betemit capped Detroit's three-run eighth inning with a tiebreaking RBI double against his former team, leading the Tigers to a 5-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday.
