This has been by far the mildest winters on record in t/Mojave. Tho' 2 days ago, we had an hour or 2 of cold sleet, high winds, black skies; 6 hrs later the sun broke thru and temps hit 75 deg's...

It's about time for the Macon Maraschino Cherry Festival isn't it? We have a decent amount of those gorgeous white blossom trees here, in full bloom....I can't recall a year at all, when all trees have their leaves this early, long before springs arrival....

Matts, I've never been to the cherry festival in Macon but I know it's sometime in March. It's been so unusually warm here lately that we've noticed all kinds of early blooms already and that damned yellow pine pollen is everywhere. Hopefully, we won't get another hard freeze because that would kill the buds and ruin the fruit trees for this year.
...but for now, we're forecast to have 80+ degree temps for at least the next 10 days...also saw the geese heading back North yesterday.

I have never ever seen Pine Pollen so thick in my life as in Middle Ga. We wen't to look at a house in Warner Robbins, atop a hill of Pines. The street was yellow, cars yellow, unbelievable yellow everywhere...

I haven't seen any geese here, I think they fly totally around t/god-forsaken Mojave. But I have seen a bunch of illegals flying north....
