Re: With Roger Clemen's salary... I love how people are speculating that the Red Sox didn't get him because their bid wasn't high enough. They didn't get Clemens because one, he's still not going to pitch for another few weeks and the stipulations he has on his contract are insane. He can choose not to go with the team on away games? Are you f*cking kidding me? If I were a Yankee making a normal salary (which is few and far between) I would be insanely pissed off to think that the Yankees are paying him $28 MIL for a few months of pitching and doing whatever the hell he wants to. This is why I hate the Yankees.

The Yankees teams of old, didnt just go out and buy the best players, Gehrig, Mantle, Ruth etc. all were kind of unknown guys before they broke out.It makes me sick also, how Clemens gets all these benefits, for pitching half of a year. I dont blame Houston for not pursuing him, after they gave him an off day to see his family last year and they see him on TV in a golf tourney. How does that make the teammates feel? Like he dosent give a F*ck about them.
