it's "more" likely KP makes a trade, or "less" likely?

    Personally, I'm not sure.

If I had to hazard a guess, though, I'd probably say less likely as KP just might want to shut 'er down and let the cards fall where they may.

I think more likey because now Blake, Rudy, Bayless, Webster and Batum will get more minutes and allow other teams to get a real good look at them.

I'd guess less likely, if for no other reason than they will have to take another trading chip off the table....probably Rudy.

The way this team is playing and all parties are bringing it every night... less. They'll make the playoffs and be a better team next year.

If the Blazers lose with those guys, their respective values go down. Conversely, if the Blazers win with them, KP may not want to pull the trigger.

    It's a very interesting proposition.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
    Less.

I think he'll be less and less inclined to make a mid-season "go for it" addition as the injuries continue to pile up, since this is clearly not a contending year. He'll probably be as willing as before to make a trade to bolster the team going forward (future seasons), but those usually aren't made mid-season...though, if it came along mid-season I don't see any reason why he'd pass it up.

I think the fewer healthy bodies on the court the less practical or likely it is to make a meaningful trade.

On the other hand, if Miller keeps leading this depleted team to victories, and keeps putting up the stats he has been, he could look like a very valuable addition to a team needing a point guard.

We don't need a trade. Not sure why every 12 hours someone posts that we need a trade.

I think the injuries have shown what we have sitting on our bench. What have we learned?

Andre Miller is just as good as I thought he'd be.

Jerryd Bayless is still rough around the edges, but he's just as talented as we all thought.

    Martell Webster can be consistent.

Jeff Pendergraph and Dante Cunningham deserve minutes.

Steve Blake and Rudy Fernandez aren't quite as integral as some of us thought.

What I have taken from all those points is that we need to move some people. When everyone is healthy again (whenever that might be) this team is going to be far too crowded to be productive. The play of Andre Miller, Jerryd Bayless, and Martell Webster have made Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, and Rudy Fernandez expendable. The play of Pendergraph, Howard, and Cunningham have made Joel Przybilla expendable. I would like to see Pendergraph, Bayless, and Webster continue to get regular minutes in the rotation. When Blake, Outlaw, and Przybilla are all back from injuries next season, it will make it very hard to find playing time for all these guys.

So, I think we need to move Blake, Outlaw, Joel, and possibly even Rudy. If those four players are gone, it will open things up, give guys a chance to keep playing, and hopefully bring in a player that will round out our rotation. Either that, or we need to capitalize on Webster's play and move him while he has value for a small forward that can be a legitimate third scorer.

    Miller/Mills
    Bayless
    Butler/Webster
    LMA/Pendergraph/Cunningham
    Haywood/Howard

That would be our team until Batum, Roy and Oden come back.

Next season it would look like this

    Miller/Bayless/Mills
    Roy/Webster
    Butler/Batum
    LMA/Pendergraph/Cunningham
    Oden/Haywood

If I'm the Wiz I only question whether or not I can do better ... maybe yes, maybe no ... but if it was on the table and I were KP I'd pull the trigger yesterday.

You obviously didn't get the memo.

With the exception of Pryzbilla the Blazers will be 100% healthy and at full strength in time for the playoffs while the rest of the teams will be breaking down with injuries of their own.

Not gonna happen. This team is doomed. I just wish I knew who's holding the voo-doo dolls.

This doesn't affect any potential trade. Either he has one in mind or he doesn't.

If Butler were included, and they were dragging their feet, I would offer up Webster in place of Outlaw. I would rather keep Webster though.
