Why? Because we're <u>almost</u> beating NBA Championship caliber teams without the leagues MVP and upcoming star Parker. Look at the heart of our team. It isnt Duncan. Its everyone in general. Look at the fight they put up, and the emotion they put into the game. Knowing they are expected to lose and lose bad. While in fact they do lose, they had the chance to win but blew it on their own faults. Awesome job. This makes me even more proud to be a Spurs fan. I smiled at the box score the the SAS/DAL game. Because I saw a healthy Mavs team almost get beat by a limping champion. Wait till the limp goes away. And it becomes a full stride run. You will see what all Spur fans expect. Win, Win, Win, and Win. Thats all. Good Job Spurs and coaching staff. BTW: I am not saying losing is acceptable. Credit LAL and DAL for good wins. Even though it shouldnt have been close.
Duncan is the protagonist on our team, no doubt. Without him we are much much different team. Over the past few games though, I feel the role players have learnt how to take some responsibilty on their shoulders, in particular Rasho, which will help when Timmy plays, because some of the newbies should have a bit more confidence in themselves and the other team members. In terms of Parker, it sure will help to have a guy that can shoot, penetrate and dish back into the line up. Hart has done an admirable job in running the half court offense - Parker can further help in the rotation of the ball.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I want to come back for David (Robinson)," Parker said. </div> http://news.mysanantonio.com/story.cfm?xla...211&xlc=1082053 Now THAT is what I call respect.
I agree, even though the Spurs team right now is playing with alot of heart the wins aren't coming in.But they were close games against two elite teams...So that has got to be a postive. The sooner Duncan ad Parker get back the better...I expect S.A to go on another run after the all-star break like what happened last season..So the record right now is not a concern. BTW I will move this to the Spurs forum Good to see some Spurs fans posting here...I hope you stick around
