According to an article on that other site, The Dolphins are debating between Rivers & Losman. Either is great w/ me.

Losman is the Cocky Gunslinger. Rivers is less fundamentally sound but proven winner at big School in a major conference.

Personally, I could even live w/ Miami taking Clausen from Tennessee in the 3rd round provided they took a top shelf WR in the 1st round.

This is all speculation until a decision is made to "tender" Ogunleye or not. Further, Would anyone sign him and give up the picks? Atlanta who is going back to the 4-3 is a possibility.

Let me know what y'all think.

i think we would take him, but it depends on if the FO goes after 1 of the great CBs, TO, peterson or kearse and if 1 of them is tagged they would be the first pick over agunleye. id take any of them for the 29th pick.

My gut feeling is that the Dolphins will tender Ogunleye a one year deal worth $1.94 million, and then he will sign an offer sheet with a team that has a low 1st round pick....the Chiefs and Colts seem obvious suitors....then Miami will either draft Rivers or Losman at 20, and a WR with the other pick or package the 2 picks, plus the 3rd they recievied to Oakland to get Roethlisberger or Fitzgerald or attempt to sign Bulger whom is a restricted FA and is expected to get the middle tender from the Rams, which will require a #1 in return(remember that Bulger is from Pittsburgh and went to the same high school as Marino, and the 2 have known each other for years), then use the other pick for a WR or take the best OL at both picks, or a QB then a OL....and if they draft a QB, im sure they will sign a vet to play until hes ready, unless they want to use the model the Ravens used last year and plug in a rookie, but use a simplified version of thier offense....so many options they have, no idea which way they will go, but we will know more once we see what happens with Ogunleye...

I agree that everything is up in the air until a decision is made regarding Ogunleye. Now that David Bowens is back, AO is expendable. Miami needs as many picks as possible. The Pats have 4 in the first 65 - Miami has one.

Bulger in Miami would be sweet. Though, the Rams can be stubborn they think they should get 2 #1's for every one their team that starts or it seems that way.

Rivers & WR (D. Henderson From LSU or Cotchery from NC St) in the third would be excellent. Lee Evans from Wisconsin (i.e. Chris Chambers) in the 1st & Clausen in the third would be something to think about

The Bulger thing wouldnt be a trade, it would be compensation for signing him....the most compensation they could be entilted to is a 1st and 3rd, and it depends on what kind of tender they offer him...the max tender is $1.94 mill, but last I heard, the Rams were likely to tender him the middle tender which was worth a 1st in return if they let him go...so....if they dolphins lose Ogunleye, but sign Bulger, they would lose thier 1st, pick up someone elses 1st adn 3rd and come out a 3rd ahead in the exchange(although thier 1st might be lower), or they may just end up with 2 #1s and 2 #3's, but no Ogunleye....

After watching the senior bowl, I only want one player at #20 and thats Phil Rivers....During the game they showed some misc. stats, and hes 4-0 in Bowl Games, and was the MVP all 4 times, thats amazing...in the game, he made all the throws you would want(except the deep out, no idea if he can make that throw, Roeth and Manning can though), damn he was impressive, I just hope he wasnt so impressive that a team before Miami picks him(like the Steelers)

I, too, was quite impressed w/ Rivers and think that Miami is making a major mistake if he's available and they don't take him.

I got tired of the announcers mentioning his awkward delivery but how it should not be changed. The comparison to Bledsoe was interesting. It may have been a compliment but think PR is more mobile.

Appearantly, he can throw the skinny post quite well and thst is one of trickier passes there is. IMO, he has all the tools to succeed. Marino's successor has been found.

Now, If Miami can get decent WR then all will be right w/ the world. Wilford of Viriginia Tech might be the compliment that Chambers needs,

if the Dolphins tender him $1.94million the compensation would be a 1st and 3rd....but hes 26 years old, had 25 sacks over the last 2 years and plays the run well, so if you consider that a 1st round pick is a complete gamble anyway, hes more of a sure thing than those picks, but it is a lot of copensation to give up, which is why I wont mind losing him....I think a defensive starved team with a late 1st will sign him...Colts, Chiefs, maybe the Packers, hes fit those teams well becuase he plays LE, so he could play oppisite guys like Freeney or KGB

Brunell behind center, a first round WR(clayton, jenkins) to go on the opposite side of chambers, a very solid TE in Randy and Ricky in the backfield. Sounds like a potent offense to go along with a very good defense. Maybe there will be some competition in the East next year. I'm just glad Wanny is still there.
