No I posted about Sam Vecine and his takes on the draft. Different podcast.

You think they will take Edey at #7?

I listened to that dude a bit, he said there are 10+ "3rd tier" guys in the draft, which he defined as "could some day make an all-star team, but not certain". That sounds like a Trey Murphy level player. So, combining the 2 podcasts, I would still take the field.

I am going to guess that there is a very reasonable chance you will get some 6-7 times all-star and a couple of all-NBA teams player from this draft as well. If it is an athletic freak that develops his skills the way the Giannis did or if it is a crazy shooter like Steph was - who knows, but statistically, that's just a reasonable expectation. Now you just hope you have the foresight to recognize these guys, have the luck to have them available when you get to draft and have the support system to help them become that kind of player.

Probably because it's a terrible idea and a pretty obvious fake rumor put out by his agent?

If we take Dalton Knecht, it probably means Cronin is on the hot seat and wants immediate results to show his worth.

I think if they take Edey at 7 you could say the same thing as you said about Knecht -- I agree with ya Amirlcon

Considering that Portland has 5 or 6 vets available in trade, why have the teams with lotto picks not swapped them for the vet? Does Detroit really want Buzellis over Grant. I’d do that straight across for five. Does Houston really want Sheppard at three over Brogdon? Orlando want what is available at 18 over Ant? Those teams need vets and the contracts are probably better than paying rookies they don’t want.

Rumor is Houston wants Paul George now.

PG for Brooks, Jabari Smith, Lendale and #3?

If true, Clipps aren't rebuilding for #3. They can send us that for Grant.

Speaking of a repetitious niche, your snotty kneejerk responses to him are the most expected and tiresome read on this board. Boring!

Cronin is going to have to be aggressive/relentless in maximizing his asserts. Can he do it? Is he capable?

I saw on her mock draft she said Edey could go as high as 14 to PDX today.

I sorta dig the Edey smoke as counter-smoke to the 'come and get him' Clingan smoke up at 1/3/4

You can at least wait and see how a player pans out. Fan reactions don't mean anything. A lot of people hated the Damian Lillard pick and thought it was awesome that we got Bayless.

Does no one else just listen to nothing about the draft and just wait until draft day? None of this matters when reality will tell us anyway.

Exactly how I feel. I am somewhat interested in the trades for more picks. Otherwise... It's a crap shoot.
