Besides Kobe, Odom, Artest, and Gasol, what player do you see playing the best or having a breakout season like Sasha and Ariza have in years past?
so let me get this straight, you think the aquisition of ron artest has made our team so bad that now bynum, fisher, walton, shannon, farmar, dj, powell, sasha are now bad players? you are crazy. first of all what is your question? which player will fill arriza's role, or which bench player will 'step up' well odom will, just like last season, in case you forgot we won the championship that way, oh and which roleplayer will fill ariza's role, artest, thats why we signed him. why even make this thead idiot, jesus fucking christ.
Damn, why so mad? Too much sand in your vagina or something? Let me fix the question before you throw another e-tantrum. Besides Kobe, Odom, Artest, and Gasol, what player do you see playing the best or having a breakout season like Sasha and Ariza have in years past?
I think Sasha will step it up this season. He's got the ability to be a lights out shooter, but he was hampered by injuries at the beginning of last season and never got in to much of a groove. I think, if Farmar is around, he could be big for us since it'll be a contract year for him. And if Brown comes back, I also think he'll be able to make some noise for us. Plus, apparently the Lakers are interested in bringing in Grant Hill, which would give us some definite stability off the bench.
why didnt you just say that to start with then? its a completely different queston... anyway, i think bynum will finally be fully healthy and coming into next season better than ever, he will get that 15/10 average everyone thought he would, but in terms of 'breakout' players, id say if shannon or farmar are given a bigger role on the team then well, id say shannon will be that guy, he has great energy, as much as ariza had last season.
Well I think Brown can provide us some great energy as always. I think Bynum will finally stay healthy.
I think the guy most probable to have a breakout season would be Shannon. He's probably gonna get more minutes now that Fisher's getting older, and he has the stuff to be a good player. Good D, Decent Mid-range and 3 Pt jumpers, great energy and willing to slash. He just has to work better on finishing around the rim.
He was on a contract year prior to last season. A lot of Laker fans feel he played great during the final year of his deal and has taken a big step back since he signed an extension. We're stuck with him for a few more years. I think Shannon Brown is going to have a breakout season in LA. He'll be the player most teams leave open when he's on the court with Kobe, Gasol, Artest, Bynum.
Lamar Odom is most likely coming back. Same with Shannon. The bench will essentially be the same as last year, except Shannon will probably take the majority of Jordan's minutes, which is a definite upgrade. Ron will be taking Trevor's place in the starting lineup, that's all. Here's our second unit: C: Bynum/Gasol PF: Odom SF: Walton SG: Vujacic PG: Brown If the minutes are managed correctly, we will have one (Drew or Pau) on the court at all times. LO is one of the best bench players in the league, and I assume he'll be better next year, because he'll be more comfortable coming off the bench. But who knows, this is Lamar we're talking about, maybe he'll be worse (???). Luke isn't a bad option off the bench if he can play like the way he did in the 2nd half of the season / Finals. Overpaid, but he still gets the job done. He's the glue guy for the second unit and gets everyone involved. Sasha was straight up garbage last year. But he's a player who relies on confidence and never had things going for him at all. He was injured, missed all of training camp, just completely out of rhythm the entire year. This summer, he's going to be playing for his National Team, so hopefully that loosens him up for the regular season. I don't expect him to play as well as he did in his contract year, but I expect (hope) him to bounce back and at least be serviceable. Brown will most likely take the majority of Jordan's minutes. Jordan is probably on the way out anyways. The coaches don't like him, and we basically tried to trade him away for free to Houston, but got rejected. I think one of the reasons why Shannon didn't play as much last year was because of his inexperience in the triangle. With training camp under his belt, he'll most likely beat out Jordan for the backup spot. And like most have already said, he could be the breakout player for us next year.
Brown for sure. He'll get so many wide open looks. Just secure that contract! Big mother fucking Drew!
Let's just hope that Bynum finally gets his productive, healthy season and LO plays as good as he did.
