Yup, better beleive it, with Orlando's loss we're now first, a win agaisnt the Nuggets who are currently hot would be great, and this team just looks unstopable right now, and to think Etan is still injured, and Kwame is just being worked in [IMG]

Hopefully we keep winning & we add to this instead of it being just a short visit at the top.

I still don't think we are the best team in the East. I think Orlando, Miami, and Detroit, are all better than us. We have gotten out to a great start, and are off to the best start since we were the Bullets. I think Washington will finish 4th or 5th in the East. The Wiz will only continue to get better, and I can't wait to see them at full blast

And all they had to do was watch the Magic lose.

But seriously, I'm glad both the Magic and Wizards are doing good. It adds more credibility to the Southeast. A lot of people act like its the worst division but if you look closer, the Heat, Magic, and Wizards hold some of the best records in the East. While the Atlantic division has only one team above .500. More power to the Southeast!

Man, i've never thought anything like this would happen. I mean 1st in the east? Last year, they were 3rd last in the East. Having Antawn Jamison has really helped our team become better.

Haha I don't think any of us think the team will finish 1st, I also think about 5th or 6th behind Detroit, Orlando or Miami, Winner of Atlantic, and maybe Indiana depending on how they pull through and if they make a run later.

Even though the Wizards have the best record it don?t necessarily mean they are the best team in the east.

What you have to think about is come playoff time; your roster doesn?t have much playoff experience at all. Fog most of these guys it will be their first time to the playoffs and that could hurt the Wizards if they make it that far.

We've got a very young team - with a lot of growing that has to be done to even think about contending in the playoffs (not to mention learning how to play defense). But do you know how big a step it would be for this organization to even make the playoffs? 1997 was the first time in 11 years - that means this year would be 2 in 18 years. Instead of being the Eastern Clippers, there would be respect. Even if it is a bad conference, playoffs is playoffs. And then, from there, we take a couple steps. We get the experience. We mature as a group. And - BOOM - before you know it, maybe they'll be putting us up with Detroit and Indiana.

But it all starts with getting there.

And the Knicks fans spent 2 pages trying to tell me that the Knicks are on a totally different level than the Wiz. I believe they said something along the lines of "Wizards as good as the Knicks is just a ridiculous statement." Something along the lines of that.......

i kept telling them how badly they match up to the Wiz...loosing in every catagory except for PG and C...and even in those they're tied or just barely slightly better than.

Oh you Knicks fans....optomistic to the last.
Say hi to Tim Thomas, Penny Hardaway and Allan Houstons 1 billion dollar contract.

Oh well, hardcore fans dont like to admit when their team has competition. I think the Wizards are if anything on a Higher level than the Knicks, but in essence, I think they are on the same level, but the 'Zards future is much better IMO.

Just as a side note: I'm not sure anyone has responded to anything I've said in the past week or so. I'm like the "thread killer". I say something, and then everyone either ignores it or just doesn't post there again.

Maybe it's because I write too much?

    Weird.

Hate to break it to you Wizard fans, but the Cavaliers are now in first place in the East. Hope you had a nice stay on top!

    EDIT:

Bleh, I just noticed there is a 4 way tie for top spot in the East, oh well. Soon enough, the Wizards shall fall [IMG]

I live in the DC area and I do like the Wizards. I'm no band wagoner.
