Wizards 113 - Knicks 102Quite simply, Gilbert Arenas was himself tonight. He scored 38 points, which 30+ is becoming the norm for him. The Wizards were 14/20 from 3 point land, tying a franchise mark and setting the current season record of 14 made 3s. Arenas made 6 of these and Jamison made 6 as well. Along with Gilberts 38, Jamison chipped in for a season high 33 points and Stevenson and Butler combined for 25.Eddy Curry put up 22 for the Knicks, extending his streak of 20+ point games to 8. All 5 starters for the Knicks were in double figures, but had no bench help at all, but the Wizards offense was outstanding, as they scored a Wizards season high of 66 in the first half. The Wizards saw another huge lead, 21, evaporate late, as they had a 31 point lead on the Mavericks in their previous game. They had a 21 point lead Wednesday night with 4:30 to go in the 3rd quarter and the Knicks went on a 13-1 run to come within 9.The Wizards victory (their first road win of the season) left the Clippers the lone team to be winless on the road for the season (0-6).
no one played defense on jamison or arenas. so it's expected that they shot well. also jamisons favorite day is december 6th, because he scored 51 in the year 2001 I believe.
How come the Knicks didn't try to attack the paint earlier in the game like they did in the second half? They were getting easy looks with David Lee or Eddy Curry being freed up in the paint. The Wizards had a great shooting night, whenenver the Knicks made a great play, Arenas or Jamison would follow up with a three, and it happened all game long.
