LeBron James will be looking to win his first ever playoff game today and the Wizards, led by Arenas and Jamison, will be doing whatever they can to stop him. The Wizards lead the season series 3-1 and this game should be an exciting one today. Larry Hughes will be suiting up against his former team and he is the X-Factor today for the Cavs. There is 5:08 left in the first quarter and the MVP chants have already started for LeBron. Discuss the game in this thread.
the cavs up 13 in the second quarter, everything is going well for the Cavs expect a late surge form the Wiz though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting phunDamentalz:</div><div class="quote_post">right now he's on pace to have the best playoff debut... Ever.</div> I wouldn't say ever, but he's having a good game i wouldn't be suprised if he has a triple double by the time its over.
The Wizards have done a much better job of limiting Lebron in the second quarter, but it's guys like Eric Snow, Flip Murray and Anderson Varejao that's been keeping the lead intact for the Cavs. Lebron showed some aggressiveness towards the ends of the both quarters, but if he comes out the gate roaring in the second half, Cleveland could win this by 25. The Big 3 for the Wizards really need to start making shots. Guys like Jamison, Butler and Arenas are a combined 0-8 from downtown, and if that shot isn't falling for them, try to attack the basket.
Whoa nice lookaway by lebron but what's up with the big 3? i expected arenas to light the cavs up since since they don't play much d.
Congrats to LeBron on his playoff debut and a triple double to go along with the romp over the Wizards. The Cavs defense really impressed me in this game. All season long I've seen players penetrate in for layups, fouls, or dunks, but today the Cavs laid anyone out who tried to get in the lane. This turned the Wizards into a jumpshooting team, and when those shots are falling, you're going to get run off the court. The touch and creativity LeBron has with the basketball is amazing. He looked like a young Magic Johnson out there today.
A triple double in your first ever playoff debut at only the age of 21, just think about that man, truly amazing. Good game and win for the Cavs, Wiz looked good early, but it was just LeBron that kept them cold. The trio of Areanas`, Butler, and Jamison didn`t produce much, that has to change for any light for them in the series. So much for having butterflys, LeBron.
