Players who attended the workout included George Mason guard Lamar Butler and Georgetown guard Ashanti Cook as well as Connecticut forward Hilton Armstrong, who is projected to be a first-round pick.

The 6-foot-11, 235-pound Armstrong averaged 9.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 blocks as a senior for the Huskies last season and showed drastic improvement after playing a somewhat limited role in his first three college seasons.

Other prospects at the workout included guard Tony Bethel (North Carolina State), guard Chad Timberlake (Fairleigh Dickinson), forward Paul Davis (Michigan State), forward-center Solomon Jones (South Florida), center Frans Steyn (Southwest Baptist) and power forward Oleksiy Pecherov, a 21-year-old native of Ukraine who played for Paris Basket Racing in France last season.

The Wizards will continue to work out prospects in coming weeks and attend the pre-draft camp in Orlando June 6-10.</div>
