In one of the longest stare downs I’ve ever seen, IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) seemed to get the better of WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s), who looked looked small and emotional at the press conference today in Hamburg, Germany. Wladimir, smiling throughout and looking the perfect picture of a confident fighter, even took the time during the stare down to write the number #50 on the palm of his left hand.

Wladimir then posed with the his palm facing the audience in reference to Haye about to become Wladimir’s 50th knockout victim this Saturday. It was a great prop and really made the stare down a lot better than it already was. When the two fighters were finally separated, it was interesting to see Haye get little confident for the first time with a huge layer of bodies separating him from the gigantic 6’6″ Wladimir.
