Tracy McGrady worked some magic - he made himself invinsible. McGrady endured a nightmarish game while Kevin Garnett was his usual self as the Orlando Magic were whipped by the Minnesota Timberwolves, 100-71 on Friday. The NBA's reigning scoring champion, McGrady has been flustered and frustrated by zone defenses this season. The Magic's star guard complained after Wednesday's loss to Chicago that the league needed to take the zone out of the game. While he concentrates on eliminating the zone, McGrady never got going against the Timberwolves. McGrady was held scoreless in the opening half for the first time in 234 games with the Magic and managed just four points before sitting out the entire fourth quarter. It matched his lowest point total since joining Orlando as a free agent in 2000. recap Box Score
Latrell Sprewell. This guy knows how to defend superstars. I like it. (OK, I know it was the Zone D, but still...)
Tracy should have never opened his mouth about the zone... he's gunna be seeing a lot of that now until he finds a way to beat it. What a great game if you are a T'Wolves fan... it was complete domination all the way around... and Spree/KG/Cassell look to be playing very well together. Hell even Mad Dog fits in well as he is great on the glass (especially the offensive end). One thing I noticed... Cassell - Garnett - Sprewell sat on the bench in that order... laughing and joking. It looks like they are meshing very well, especially Garnett and Cassell. :biggrin2:
The only player to raise a whimper for the Magic was Tyrone Lue. The rest were hapless. Good win by the Pups. You guys will be even better if Kandi finds his game.
Good game by the Wolves, but T-mac was disgusting. Worst game I have ever seen him play. The zone totally shut him down.

I'm happy that Ebi got playing time and scored his first basket. In fact, he scored his first basket, first block, and first rebound. Good for him. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting purehoops:</div><div class="quote_post">What a great game if you are a T'Wolves fan... it was complete domination all the way around... and Spree/KG/Cassell look to be playing very well together. I think Cassell and KG were already friends, I'm happy to see that Sprewell is joining them. When you see that, you know it's going to be a good year.
