LeBron was the Rookie of the Year. Anthony scored 2 pts., and hence had 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 4 turnovers. He lacks dimension.
lebron has his tough shooting nights as well, which is expected, but that's the unbelievable part of lebron's game: he's not just a scorer, he has IT. kidd doesn't need to score points to make a big impact on the game, and magic didn't need to either... and it's not just the assists, it's the whole deal lebron makes the entire team play better and changes the complexion of the entire game, which is why i agree that lebron was undeniably the ROY - his offensive game is obviously breathtaking, but his nba game goes far beyond that, unlike carmelo that said, carmelo has done a fabulous job this year, and he shouldn't be knocked too hard for a poor performance, especially his very first playoff series in his rookie season at the age of 19 against the twolves. i like carmelo quite a bit, unfortunate game for him and his team, but you and i and everyone knows this denver team will be back in the playoffs for many years to come (just as the cavs will )
Oh please dont try to find stupid things like this. Everyone has bad games his just happened in the playoffs.
lol common that's just being cynical, the guy had a bad shooting night, then also got injured. Also like you said,he got 8 rebounds , this is just stupid though, no need.
Everyone has bad games brutha. Playoff's are way too intense. Im pretty sure LeBron would have choked in his 1st series also.

The playoffs are a whole lot tougher, plus, he was playing on a bad knee.

Every player has bad nights. Even great players have bad scoring nights but some players, like Jordan, find a way to help the team in another way. But Carmelo is still just a rookie and he had Trenton Hassell, a great defender, defending him. He did a great job contesting shots. So that was a big reason for his low scoring.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sabretooth:</div><div class="quote_post">LeBron was the Rookie of the Year. Anthony scored 2 pts., and hence had 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 4 turnovers. He lacks dimension.</div> He did better then LeBron did in game 4 of his series......

Man, it pisses me off when people don't give Trenton Hassell the respect he deserves. You think Carmelo just missed these easily? Hassell was in his face the whole series not giving him room. Now, I'm not making excuses, but just remember Carmelo had a great defender on him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CBBI:</div><div class="quote_post">Carmelo had already missed like 12 or his first 13 shots before he hurt his knee. Next argument.</div> What? Yes we all know that, but how do you know if he wasn't injured he couldn't have made it more respectable lol, and its not like other players haven't had bad games.

But I guarantee that Bron would have traded his ROY award in a second for a shot at the playoffs. Too bad his cavs choked at the end losing a string of 10 games in a row & blowing their shot at the playoffs. Meanwhile Melo lead his team to the playoffs on his back. A 19 year old rookie cant be expected to do EVERYTHING now can he?
Carmelo was something like 1-12 before he hurt his knee so you can't say he struggled because he had a hurt knee. He simply got shut down.
I think we all knew that, I still don't see the big deal, he got played well by Hassell, great!! I was saying that how do we know if he didn't play more he couldn't have partially redeemed his shooting, or made it worse even. Every one experiences cold days, those says where you can't make simple shots you make every other day, and add a good defender to that then whatchu gon do?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Every one experiences cold days, those says where you can't make simple shots you make every other day, and add a good defender to that then whatchu gon do?</div> After his knee injury... he went back out and KEPT SHOOTING. He didn't look to get others involved when he was obviously off his game and he didn't try and drive the ball to the basket and drawl fouls.
Yea I watched the game , maybe he didn't drive because he just experienced a knee injury that he thought he could play through, but actually couldn't?
