I was arguing with my friend about this. He thinks the Sixers are better than the Wolves. I said no.

His statement: "The big men of the Sixers, Daly and Webber, would SH*T on the big men of the Wolves if you take off KG." I said, if you take off KG and Iverson, then the guards for Minnesota (James, Foye, Davis, McCants, Jaric, Hassell, Hudson) would SH*T on the Sixers' Iggy, Carney, Willie Green, Kyle Korver, and Kevin Ollie haha.

Then he goes: "OK, then factor KG/AI back in. The guards of the Wolves don't beat the Sixers' anymore and the big men are even overall." I think it's funny he thinks that the Sixers are more talented than the Wovles right now.

Sixers top 5 players: Allen Iverson (superstar), Chris Webber (washed up), Iguodala (very solid all around, young, on the rise), Dalembert (solid), and... Willie Green? Kyle Korver?

Wolves top 5 players: Kevin Garnett (superstar), Ricky Davis (All-Star caliber), Mike James (big scorer), Randy Foye (big scorer, great future), and I guess Eddie Griffin or Mark Blount.

Right there, the Wolves starters are better than the Sixers' starters. Definitely. Then the bench battle goes to Minny as well, IMO. Jaric, Griffin, Hudson, McCants when healthy, Hassell (who will probably start right away), Justin Reed - all solid role players. Philly has Korver (nothing but a shooter), Carney (I love him, solid future), and what else? Steven Hunter maybe. Shavlik Randolph? Kevin Ollie?

Then here's the best part: He said the Sixers also had a better record. I said it was DEFINITELY because the Wovles are in the West. HE SAYS THE WEST OVERALL ISNT THAT MUCH BETTER THAN THE EAST!!!! LMFAO I can't even believe he said that.

The Wolves would have made the playoffs in the East last year, they are a better team than the Sixers. And the depth of the West is 100000000000000 times better than the East.

My friend really needs to watch more basketball. He, and other people, thinks he knows a lot about basketball, but he really only watches like 20 minutes of a game when he does, and he only looks at box scores really. He's a stat guy. But both of these things he said were terrible.

    Wolves or Sixers people?

Obviously the Sixers. Carney was impressive last season. Iverson is a year older but can still play at superstar level. THey beefed up their bench. Green will be back for the season after misisng 72 games last season. Now with more expirence with Iggy and SamDam they should be fighting for a seed. But the Wolves are coming back. Garnett really wants to win badly. But they are going to have a logjam soon. THey have Foye and James. James will be taking the shots obviously and in the summer league Foye showed that he was a bt selfish. I don't know if Foye and James will limit thier shots. Ricky Davis is a devastating 2nd option he can still put up points up to 17+. Garnett on the other hand will post his number he has gotten lately I say 21/12/5 again.
