They should, there's no reason to keep Juwan Howard, the Timberwolves are rebuilding their franchise and Howard is a veteran who should be on the bench of a championship caliber team in a final attempt at a ring. It's best for both sides for these two to part.

They aren't going to get any young players or decent draft picks for Howard like I read. This is the perfect opportunity to shave down the roster and package Howard with a guy like Ricky Davis, Marko Jaric, Trenton Hassell etc.

Agreed. You aren't going to get too much unless you package the guy with someone else. I would like to keep Hassell personally. He has a good attitude and was a co captain last year. He brings good defense and some veteran leadership. But saying that, that might give him a little trade value at the same time.

What can you get for Howard?

[*]A veteran team may give you mediocre first and a similar contract. Or perhaps an expiring contract?[*]Another rebuilding team may give you a better player with a crummier contract, but of course that doesn't seem to help the TWolves.[/list]

For you Nets fans, how about Jason Collins for Howard? The TWolves get someone younger and the Nets get someone slightly better?

Howard, Krstic and Magloire looks relatively solid, if not spectacular.

    Collins isn't going anywhere.

With him FINALLY coming off the bench this season, the Nets will need him to own Bosh and Curry when they meet up.

Only someone that has faith in Aaron Gray would think that looks relatively solid

    It's all relative...

I've got plenty of faith in Gray to be our 6th string big man. [IMG]

I don't, on the other hand, have much faith, as GM seems to, that Jason Collins would shut anyone down, much less shut down Chris Bosh.
