So last night, the Wolves defeated the Warriors by 16, and the Grizz fell to the Rockets. Two of the Wolves' next for games are against the Jazz and Hornets which SHOULD be wins. The Grizz have the Nuggets, and Spurs twice in a row. We stand currently 3 games back..... Is it still possible....?

Mathematically speaking it is still possible but it is a very slim chance. The Grizz only needs to win 1 game and we're out. We have to win every game left and have them lose every game to make the postseason. The Wolves won't face the Grizz, so they can't even control their destinies. Even with the schedules, I find it near implausibe that the Wolves will make the playoffs. But we can only hope.

It's not happening. They ain't making the playoffs and I bet the Wolves find a way to lose one more game even if Memphis loses all their games. With that said, it was a good win last night. Great defense and the offense was running smoothly. It was good to see the guys play hard for 48 minutes even when all is lost. BTW, why in the world was this game on FSN North and the Twins were not on TV last night. I wanted to watch the Twins game on MLB.TV via FSN North, but FSN North had the Timberwolves game last night. FSN North should have not air that game when the schedule was out last summer. Ch. 45 could have air that game last night and FSN North could have air the Twins game.
While I highly doubt Minnesota will knock Memphis out of the playoffs, I think the possibility is greater than most people realize. Last season, Memphis went 0-8 in their last 8 games. This season they have an almost impossible schedule to finish out the season, and Tim Duncan might even come back for at least one of the games against the Grizzlies. Besides, there are many conflicts within the team right now. Jason Williams cursed Mike Fratello out the other night, Bonzi Wells is upset over playing time, and Stromile Swift is as inconsistent as ever and now has an "irregular heartbeat".

The only thing I worry about is a team like San Antonio totally letting down and letting Memphis win. I don't think they would have a problem with having the number two seed heading into the playoffs. I think they will play Duncan in one game and only with limited minutes. It would be nonsense to risk him furthering his injury. I also have to agree that we won't make the playoffs. It seems like a perfect scenario, but this isn't a movie. This is real life, and the chances of us winning every game and Memphis losing every game just seems too unrealistic to me.
Don't look now, but the Grizzlies just got blown out by the Nuggets, and the Timberwolves just beat the Jazz. It's still very possible for Minnesota to make the playoffs. Look at their remaining schedules - Memphis: @ San Antonio San Antonio Dallas Minnesota: Seattle @ New Orleans San Antonio I could actually see the Timberwolves beat the Sonics and Spurs, because when they play to their potential they're every bit as good. Right now Seattle and San Antonio have nothing to play for anyway, and every game is life or death for the Wolves. As for the Grizzlies, they're not responding the way they should. Their games lack effort, and I can see them getting swept in this final stretch.
Yeah, I was definitely scoreboard watching. I saw that The Grizz were getting beat at half, and we were up four at half, and I knew it was good news. So we now remain two games back, eh? I hope we get in. If we do, it will be pretty miraculous, from the season we've had.
I think its going to come down to can the Wolves beat the Spurs the last game of the season( they havent really been competive against them this season), along with how hard are the Mavs going to play in that last game of the year. The Sonics have some key parts back but I think the Wolves are going to scrap out a late game victory against them. And I think Memphis is going to drop the home & home against San Antonio cause the Spurs are still playing for that top seed as motivation. But I dont think Dallas is going to do the Wolves any favors on the last game of the regular season.
Ever body knew the wolves was going to win they are a better team the Grizzles and KG is a beast so anybody that thought they were going to win is stupid. undefined

Well....the Grizz were blown out bythe Spurs, moving us to only 1.5 games back, with 3 games to go. Next on the list, the Sonics...
WIth all of my optimism, I think we are going to miss the playoffs by 1 game (because we lost the tie-breaker) because the Mavericks have already started to rest Dirk, and the last game of the season against a team fighting for their playoff lives AND eliminating Garnett ("Don't vote for KG for MVP....sound familiar) sounds like a no-brainer for them. I do expect a good run from our boys though.

I was telling you guys that we'd do our part and lose out, but you just had to go and lose to the Sonics, didn't you?
