Hell yeah!!! Now you will have 2 good corners because I consider CWoods a shutdown corner except he needs to stay healthly. Keep it up Green Bay!!! Just keep Favre happy

Favre should be happy they got him some defensive help. Woodson signed with the Packers today.

Not a bad signing at all for you guys, but I really dont consider him a shutdown corner so in that sense hes gonna be overpaid for you guys.

I actually thought he was in his mid 30s, he's actually like only 29 or 30.This takes away Michael Huff off the draft board (although I didn't want him anyways, we had other needs).

Woodson isn't that good anymore, he's injury prone and very inconsistent.

He's better than a no-name that's for sure. I hate saying this but, "maybe all he needed was a change in scenary"

woodson is the most overratted player in the NFL. I would rather have a no namer who makes a 4th of what he makes.

He'll be good this year, trust me. I think he'll be very healthly for the next few years since he was so injury-prone when he played for the Raiders, that would be funny because Raider fans would be upset.

Him and possibly AJ Hawk will help, but they won't have a top 15 D...

They need to address the Safety position, losing Sharper to the Vikings last year was bad, they should look for a Safety early on in the draft.

I think they already did. Didn't the Packers signed Manuel?

I think that Green Bay will surprise some people. I'm not saying they will, but if they can keep their RB's healthy, get someone good for Javon, get a top-notch draft pick, and Favre has a better season, I think we could see them sneak up and be 8-8 or 9-7. Don't doubt it, it's possible.

He will see time at WR tooPackers / Woodson to see action on offenseWed, 26 Apr 2006 19:16:41 -0700Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports according to agent Carl Poston, CB Charles Woodson picked the Green Bay Packers over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because head coach Mike McCarthy agreed to let him play on offense as well as play cornerback. "I think the fact that Brett committed to another year, that was one thing Charles was interested in," Poston said. "Another point is that they agreed to let Charles play offense as well as defense. That proved to be very beneficial to them. They wouldn't let him do that in Oakland." According to Poston, the Buccaneers, coached by Jon Gruden, weren't interested in allowing him to play on offense and wanted him to play safety. McCarthy said that when Woodson visited the Packers April 3, he told Woodson that he would be able to play some wide receiver if he signed in Green Bay. Woodson is expected to start at cornerback opposite CB Al Harris.
