Woodson is a moron, and a coach who does not possess the mental capacity to lead this team to a championship. BUT....this is a good thing because I predict Woodson will jerk Shumpert around throughout the first half of this season, the Knicks will be mediocre, and Woodson will get fired by the All Star break. From there - new coach will be brought in and change the dynamci, and the Knicks will be a hot team going into the playoffs.
So basically, the only coach in over a decade that came in, made the Knicks a very solid team and actually got them to play defense is a moron? I don't think so.
The other coaches were Isiah Thomas and Mike D'Antoni. How could the Knicks not play better defense with any other coach when the act to follow is those 2? He'll be gone by the ASB - Grunwald was a lousy GM who overpaid for every deal he made, and this team is in a win-now or else spot - Grunwald's coach was Woodson - Mills won't wait to make a change if this team doesn't gel the way it needs to.
