MLB fans and betting players will follow the World Series back to St. Louis on Wednesday night, when the Cardinals host Texas in Game 6. There is a critical Game 5 on Monday night, so one of these teams will be facing elimination on Wednesday. Rangers Cardinals Odds – Wednesday, 8:05 PM ET Colby Lewis (1-1, 2.95) held down the fort in a 2-1 win in Game 2, even though he took a no-decision. Lewis allowed a run on four hits in 6.2 innings, striking out four and walking two. A Bodog review would point to Lewis’ performance as being key in this game as he kept the Rangers in it, and then Texas eventually came back for the victory thanks to St. Louis’ bullpen (and specifically, closer Jason Motte) blowing the opportunity. Lewis has started all three of his appearances on the road in the postseason, so a Game 6 in St. Louis shouldn’t bother him and he’s been fantastic through the playoffs, with the exception of a 5-2 loss in Detroit in the ALCS. Jaime Garcia (0-2, 3.97) deserved better after his Game 2 performance, hurling a three-hitter over seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and a walk. Price per head bookmaking players watched Motte blow the game and waste a brilliant performance from Garcia, who was a bit rocky to start the playoffs, but he has found his groove recently, allowing a run in his last 11.2 innings of work. Now, the 25-year-old has to maintain this as the World Series returns to St. Louis, where he has made three of his four starts in the postseason. Price per head odds should favor the Cardinals at home, although the line won’t be very large. You also have to consider that one of these teams will be trying to close out the series after Game 5 on Monday, so that should also affect the MLB betting lines for this contest. Don’t expect a high-scoring affair as it’ll probably be similar to the first two games of the World Series, a 3-2 win for the Cardinals and of courses, Game 2 when these pitchers squared off. The cold and damp Missouri weather makes it tougher to drive the ball as you saw a few balls stay in the park in St. Louis that would have definitely left the yard in Texas. Lewis has been excellent in the postseason, not only this year, but last season as well when the Rangers lost to San Francisco in the World Series, while this is still Garcia’s first playoff trip. Give the slight edge to Lewis and take the Texas Rangers in your online betting spread.
