Though overmatched the Indians beat two very good American League East Teams to get where they are. I'm not going to put on Indians Gear and jump on their bandwagon but generally I tend to hope the American League Team will win. Saw a guy today with a shirt lettered "Beating Boston, Easy as Pie" and an Indians Chief Wahoo Hat.
There's a lot to like about both teams. Everything suggests that the Cubs are about to crack that proverbial glass ceiling........... they are so overdue to win a World Series. So, why do I think this accomplishment will not be a cinch. Is there anybody favoring the Cleveland Indians? One thing for sure, this will be a heck of a WS. I'm going to pick in seven games..............the Cleveland Indians.
...I think the DH will be a huge issue...Kyle Schwarber reactivated to DH at the AL park, added to the fact that the Indians give up the DH spot in the NL park, not to mention the Cubs pitchers with the exception of Lester, are pretty good hitters.
I gotta go with the Cubs in 7. I'd love to see the Cubs in 5 or 6, but I think Francona's boys are ready, but not as good a team as this incredible Cubs young team... Chicago needs this one, as all Cubs and Baseball Fans need this one. Either way each City will explode with a Win. But, I doubt Cleveland will explode like a Chi-Town party; like its 1908, not 1945... (or 48)
These Cubs are dynasty material. This team has legs to be in the Fall Classic for many years. Not good news for the National League clubs. As for the Indians, I feel their time is now. Unfortunately, their pitching staff has injuries. Love Francona and I'm sure his players would play well above their ability. This series is special...........taking in the teams' history.
