Some Dallas rumors..... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">New Jersey's Rod Thorn is one of the best general managers in the league. Anyone who gets the Nets -- aka the Clippers of the East -- in the Finals twice is a brilliant man. Thorn will not give up Kidd, 34, without a deal similar to what it took for Miami to get Shaquille O'Neal from the Lakers -- young star-quality players in Lamar Odom and Caron Butler, veteran Brian Grant and a No. 1 pick. Thorn's opening price would probably be Josh Howard and Devin Harris with other throw-ins to make salaries match. And to get a young point guard such as Williams or Paul, which is unlikely anyway, the starting price would be the same two players because the only reason you trade youth is to get an abundance of youth in return.</div> Source
If the Nets fail to take the series to at least Game 6, I definitely sense the end of the Kidd era, especially if Vince Carter decides to sign with another team. It would be smart to trade him while he still has value and rebuild.
