According to This ESPN article these are the most likely players to be cut using Amnesty:

    Marvin Williams
    Desagana Diop
    Baron Davis
    Al Harrington
    Charlie Villanueva
    Charlie Bell
    Dahntay Jones
    Ryan Jones
    Luke Walton
    Beno Udrih
    Travis Outlaw
    Renaldo Balkman
    Gilbert Arenas
    Andres Nocioni
    Josh Childress
Brandon Roy (obviously not an option)
    Richard Jefferson
    Mehmet Okur
    Rashard Lewis

I suspect that at least a few of them will only go to a top contending team, since they will already be making bank, and signing a much smaller contract will allow them to try and get a ring. I know that Baron Davis for example wants mostly to go to NYK or LAL.

But this is a large list, and hopefully at least some of them would be willing to go to the Blazers and might also be able to help the Blazers.

But seriously. I don't see the Hawks amesty-ing Marvin Williams instead of Joe Johnson.

I wonder if Nate still has a soft spot for Rashard Lewis.

I went strictly by what the article said. I agree, Joe Johnson makes more sense to me. Also, if there is a real punitive tax, I would not be surprised to see Bosh instead of Miller. It seems weird to use the amnesty on a smaller/shorter contract when a non superstar is being paid superstar money. But, then again, how many fans would quit if Joe Johnson left? I don't think the Heat would lose many fans if Bosh was axed, especially if they were able to get a couple of other amnestied players on the cheap.

Man talk about a pile of wasted money on that list.

Oh yeah, back to the topic. I think the answer is clear to anyone that really knows Nate.

Nobody on that list interests me at all, except possilby Trout at a vet minimum contract.

Nice pic of the Tualatin Commons though, nik! He got rid of that car years ago, though. :(

I wonder how many teams are eyeing Roy?

I'm guessing a lot. Especially if Roy is willing and happy to be a backup from here on.

I'd like to see Travis come back if we get him cheap. He already is familiar with some of the other players and Nate.

Based on position alone I would say Beno Udrih. He always plays hard and could start if Nelson went down.

Will they all cost the veteran's minimum? Then every one of them would be useful to us.

That's sad I mixed Felton up with Nelson. I blame it on the lock out! I should have seen him play in a Blazer uniform for the last two weeks.

    Joe Johnson anyone?

His contract is so absurd I can't think of any reason why Atlanta wouldn't cut him loose.

Rashard Lewis, he's overpaid when your talking about a max level guy to be one of the team leaders but he could be a solid starter or a sixth man of the year level backup. I'd be much more interested in him then Jamal Crawford.
