<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Brian Davis, the man who would be the Grizzlies' majority owner, still hasn't unveiled his full roster of partners to the team's local minority-share owners.

The local group has awaited that information for several weeks as it faces a Dec. 1 deadline to act on its right of first refusal and buy out majority owner Michael Heisley's 70 percent share.

To buy out Heisley or step aside and become the Davis group's minority-share partners? It's a tough question to answer without full knowledge of Davis' fellow investors, local-group member J.R. 'Pitt' Hyde III said Tuesday.

"We're as aware as anybody else the clock is ticking on this thing," Hyde said. "They say they're going to get us the information."

Another possibility is that the local partners don't act on the right of first refusal, the Davis bid fails, and Heisley remains controlling partner of a franchise that, presumably, remains for sale.

Davis and former Duke University basketball teammate Christian Laettner met in Memphis with the local partners on Nov. 3. They didn't unveil their full group that day, as Hyde had hoped, but apparently promised to do so soon. Two-and-a-half weeks later, Hyde and company still are waiting.

Attempts to reach Davis were unsuccessful.

"There are two questions," Hyde said. "No. 1, we'd like to have the benefit of knowing who our proposed partners would be, obviously, so that we feel comfortable with them and feel like we have the same goals and objectives." </div>
