If we had Stralman and Callahan instead of Boyle and MSL.

I don't really see how because what killed them was their inability to score on home ice. I think you have to look at the forwards if you want to determine how the result could've been different.

Certainly possible, but who really knows.

I do know that going forward I want no part of Cally at 6 mill per or more for many years. Dude has 1 playoff goal in his last 25 playoff games +/-. He adds other things, but for us at 6 mill or more per we couldn't afford it.

Stralman at 4.5 per for 4 more seasons is better, but I also happen to think Stralman is being blown up a little bit right now. He is a good solid dman who is now being treated like some big player. To me he is a good 2nd pair guy. I don't believe missing him is a huge issue for us seeing as D is not an issue for us.

    Callys contract is horrible.

Would have helped this year but good luck paying all those sub 25 year old players when you are paying a 40 pt guy 6m

Boyle and Callahan sucked all series long. No interest in paying Callahan. If they did, they would be looking at losing Kreider down the line.

For this team there is no way we could have afforded Cally with a 6 mill, or a little more, cap hit...just no way. We would be losing a couple of our good young kids if we had Cally on the books at 6.2 mill, and scoring 23 goals and 45 points.

Callahan is not a playoff goal scorer either.
