I know the Bulls will be mentioned in rumors throughout the season due to our stock of young players and their cap room at the end of the season. I personally don't think we can get Ben Wallace and if we did I think it would cost us way too much of our cap room for now and the future. From rumors I've read and just a look at free agents I was thinking some possibilities would be maybe getting both Al Harrington and Nazr Mohammad. This would preserve cap room for the following year where maybe we could make a run at Pietrus from Golden State or even try to trade for him before hand. If we do get those players our lineup would be pretty much filled from a depth of roster standpoint and a financial standpoint for a while. With no proven star as of yet, but many people with potential to be one. Would you be happy with those additions.
I would be “content” if we got Nazr Mohammed he is a quality big man with no baggage. He has been struggling in San Antonio this season, but overall he is a more then serviceable big man, he showed that in New York. I think a change of scenario especially to his native home would serve him well. One thing our roster lacks right now is a inside presence to get us off to a good start. Michael Sweetney has done a great job of getting us some points since being placed in the starting lineup, but due to conditioning problems he tires out in the second half of some games. If we can add another good big man like Nazr we would be set to go. Now as far as Al Harrington goes I am a little bit hesitant to say he would be a good acquisition. He comes with some baggage he has had a history of complaining when not being placed in a starting role even in a winning organization (Indiana). If he comes in with a new attitude, and he can accept the role of being a piece of a team, and not “ the man” then I would not mind bringing him in. He is a competitor, but he is a prime example of someone who thinks they are better than they really are.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yes, the Bulls. I'm working on that too. So here's the deal. There have been rumors the Bulls want to make a run at the Kings' Peja Stojakovic, a free agent after this season. Stojakovic is a good shooter, which the Bulls need, but he'll be 29 next season. That's not a good age to be giving a shooter a long-term deal. The Bulls need post play and a big defensive guard. One GM said he has heard the Bulls remain interested in Atlanta's Al Harrington, a post-up frontcourt player who also can rebound. He was the player the Bulls tried to get by trading for Phoenix's No. 1 draft pick in 2004. But the Pacers pulled back on the deal and the Bulls selected Luol Deng. Harrington is with the hopeless Hawks and says he'll leave as a free agent after this season. Atlanta needs a point guard, given that Tyron Lue plays there now. So how about Chris Duhon and an expiring contract, like Eric Piatkowski's? Otherwise, the Hawks could lose Harrington for nothing. And Kirk Hinrich could return to his natural position, point guard. In the other part of the deal, how about making a run at Golden State's Mickael Pietrus to play with Hinrich? It would cost the Warriors a fortune in luxury tax to re-sign Pietrus after they re-signed Mike Dunleavy. The Bulls looked hard at Pietrus before drafting Hinrich, and he's the kind of big, defensive shooting guard they need. Certainly, either the Bulls' or Knicks' No. 1 picks the Bulls own will be in the lottery. Wouldn't one help the Warriors' pursuit for a big man with another expiring contract thrown in? It's after this that Steed and Mrs. Peel usually clink champagne glasses. Where's John Paxson? What vintage does he have around?</div> <div align="center"> Chicago Tribune</div> Wow, hold on if we got to give up Chris Duhon to acquire Al Harrington there is no way I would ever do that trade. Chris Duhon is proving himself to be a legit NBA star. He has scored 20 plus twice this season as well as had a triple double. The Pietrus deal sounds the best out of the three. I like Pietrus he is another young athletic player that would fit well with the style we play, but if the Warriors cannot resign him how can the Bulls while at the same time resigning Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, and Sweetney all those guys will want a lot of money I know where 20 million under the cap this summer, but if we spend it all on these guys, and they don’t all pan out in the next few years we will be stuck in cap hell with no way out.

nazr mohammed yes, we really need some help downlow scoring. and why did we get rid of holocomb, he wasn't that much money?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting number99:</div><div class="quote_post">nazr mohammed yes, we really need some help downlow scoring. and why did we get rid of holocomb, he wasn't that much money?</div> We had originally planned to resign Adrian Griffin, but Skiles said he does not want to tamper with the roster just yet. He made a lineup change though so I would not be surprised if we resign Griffin soon. The Bulls also wanted to have a open roster spot just in case the Knicks had waived Antonio Davis.
wtf give up Duhon? I will be pi$$ed off if we trade him. anyway aren't Atlanta happy with Salim Stoudamire? isn't he a PG?

He came into the draft with the team wanting him to be a point guard, but he's really not. His passing skills are average if anything and leadership ability could be questioned too. So to me, he just seems like an undersized shooting guard, and until he proves he can run an offense effectively, that's all he ever will be.
