If you knew Nash would extend here would you give up Batum to get him? It was a discussion at the awesome Wheel's/Vance meet and greet tonight, thanks to ABM by the way.

Wheels said he would. Personally, his ability to match up with Durant would be too greatly missed IMO. What's the chance we could land Nash in the free agent market during the summer?

It's time to get younger not ancient. And frankly, Nash is going to want to play for a contender (and should) as his swan song. Portland even with him added isn't good enough to qualify.

I think I've been around this place long enough to ask this question without flinching. Are you guys thinking of the same joke? (Holy crap, yes!! and Holy crap, no!! being the two possibilities).

I would do that deal in a heartbeat. It's like giving up Al Jefferson for Kevin Garnett. It gets you a title. Nash/Matthews/Crash/LMA/Camby contends. Why the obsession, Nate? He's only the best PG in the league still. And he can shoot. He would be a MONUMENTAL upgrade from Felton that would COMPLETELY change the whole makeup of our team. We could win it all with Nash. We have the big man, maybe the best big man, Nash needs to make one more run.

I LOVE Batum but i'd give him up for Nash. Its a hard move to make but Nash makes everyone better and most of this teams problems go away with him on our team.

Would you give up Jermaine O'Neal for Dale Davis?

Batum is already more proven than Jermaine was at this time, and Nash is older than Davis was when we traded for him, and unlike that Portland team, this one is nowhere near title contention. Some of you want to mortgage our future just to get into the playoffs? I think some of you must work for the Vulcan's or something

Little difference between the two. We had some good bigs on that team already and Davis was a good backup not a HoF still playing like there in their prime. We give up on our second best player to try and make a contention for a title not for the playoffs. This team as much as it sucks will get into the playoffs without another move. Nash is the trade you make if you want to try and win a title much like trading for Pippen was. Our future is pretty bleak to begin with, with no prospects at the PG being shopped and no ground breaking PG prospects in this draft there isn't an upgrade in site. Trading for Nash fix's a lot of problems we have and gives LA an actual master of the pick and roll who will make LA a lot better.
We give up talent for the future, but we won't be contending anytime soon (unless we could talk Dwill into coming here in the summer... yea thought not on that) and this may not make us a contender but it is our best bet to try and be one for the next few years.

No. At this point I would give up Oden, though.

Although I'm not sure Nash would be a wise trade, imagine what Steve Nash could do for Nic and LaMarcus.

No. I'd trade anyone except Batum and Aldridge though. So basically I'd trade scraps for their best player. Typical Blazer fan.

I agree Nash would be an upgrade, but if he couldn't get Phoenix to a title game with Amare, Grant Hill, Shaq, Matrix, Barbosa, etc. etc. How is he going to get one with just one other very good player?

SMH I can't believe people still think we're just a player away.

part of why he didn't with that team is that Shaq was an absolute pile of shit by that time and of those players listed, only Grant Hill played some form of defense.

Plus, Marion was traded FOR Shaq.

If we get Phoenix's pick unprotected. That should be a 7-8th pick.
