before the people that act like they dont want either of them destroy this thread...

would you rather sign dwight howard and have both cj and dame?
    OR
would you rather have dame and demarcus while trading cj?

Hmm, with zero latitude in those two choices, I would rather keep Dame and CJ, and take a flyer on Howard.

That is very tough. As much as I've wanted Boogie, I think I go with Option A - Howard. Caveat being that it's a 2-year contract.

If it was CJ for Cousins straight up, I would probably do that trade.

Mostly because I think we could still be really good with Crabbe. Or go out and sign someone else to fill that role.

Depends on what we're signing him for. If signing Howard would require a max-type deal, then I'd rather trade CJ for Boogie. If it's something reasonable like $10m/year, then I'd take Howard with Dame/CJ. However, neither option really appeals.

To me, contract length is more important that dollars. I'd give Howard a 2-year, $40M contract.

Not enough info to make a choice.

One thing both Boogie and Dwight have in common. Both players are having trouble getting along with teammates. Not sure I want either player, unless the price is very low.

We must keep both Dame and CJ. They are our golden ticket.

I'd take Howard for an expensive 2 year contract if the 2nd year is a team option.

Put another way: Dame and CJ ARE the Trail Blazers. You don't trade the team.

You also don't obtain Howard, though I think he would help short term. If you have any interest in Howard, you go Whiteside instead.

You don't trade CJ ......unless it's for a player like DMC.

You have to do this if it's on the table.

At this point, I think that SAC has to pony up more than just DMC to get CJ. DMC costs more, is older, and has a checkered history. CJ is younger, costs less, and is an exemplary player. I want DMC, but he basically shoots the same percentage as CJ - Cs (or PFs) are suppose to shoot a much higher percentage than guards. Also, my biggest concern is that Terry wouldn't know what to do with a player like Boogie.

If we trade CJ I'm more interested in trading him for Butler. But the same things that apply to DMC apply to Butler - CHI would need to pony up some incentives in order to make it worth our while.

Whiteside isn't even proven and the Heat are on the brink of losing to the Hornets.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If Cousins actually wanted to play for Stotts, I'd much rather option B and, in fact, I'd love to trade McCollum for Boogie.

If there was no indication of whether Cousins would be interested, it would be a tough call. He's an incredible talent but so risky if he's not dialed in.
