I'd bring him off the bench, and start Matthews, and Batum. It lets Roy go at the opposition's bench, not have to play as much defence, and also spreads the shots around.
I rarely yell at the TV for anything, but during the 4th quarter of tonight's game I yelled at Roy multiple times. This isn't good.
Roy doesn't seem to think so, especially when e gets the ball. He grasps it like he'll never touch it again.
Yea, that's a problem. Nate hasn't done anything to dissuade it either. He's going to be a highly paid bench player for a long time unless Cho can work some magic.
Nate's in a no-win situation. If he benches him he could have an all-out revolt on his hands with Brandon, if he doesn't the team suffers as everybody continues the charade that this is still "Brandon's team." We need to stop kidding ourselves, this is going to get worse before it gets better.
Well not just with Roy but with the boss from Seattle as well. Are you telling me that the guy I gave 82 million dollars too isn't good enough to start anymore?
Bullshiat, maybe in your system. But if you can't get it out of him, I'll bring in someone that can. I have too much money invested in him to settle with him being a "bench player".
Huh? You don't think PA is well aware of what's going on with Roy's knees? Who knows, maybe this was part of the reason KP got canned?
Yes, I think he does Nik. But I would be surprised if he is ready and willing to resign himself to the idea that Brandon Roy is a bench player.
I guess. But for all of PA's quirks and shortcomings, I don't believe he's completely clueless about basketball and actually considers himself a student of the game; from that perspective I have to believe he wants this team to maximize its chances to compete more than he cares about how many minutes Brandon is getting or if he's the "face of the franchise" because of the money he makes.
