OK, say Chelsea put him up for sale. ?15 million in the summer. Would you make a move? Not suggesting they will, this is purely hypothetical. I ask purely out of curiosity, Sheva proven quality on the continent, but had a bad first season with Chelsea in the Premiership. Do you say "bargain price, he just didn't fit in at Chelsea", and give him a try in your team. Or do you write him off as over-the-hill or can't cut it in the premiership. How do you react when prooven quality has a bad season? Does he suddenly become unwanted? Opinions?
not really, age is another factor I'd consider along with wages...it would make more sense to invest in a youngster striker who might command lower wages. With Shevchenko, I feel you might still get a good 2-3 years out of him at the most.
15 million is too much for a striker that is far past his prime and is too old for that some of money. I wouldn'y in having the play for free but that kind of money is not worth Shevchenko.
it took drogba and essien 2 seasons to get as good as they are now. just give him time, he'll be good. yeh, hes probably past his prime but so what, he's still good.

Kyle i am fed up with you coming on this forum to piss me off with your lack of football knowledge. Why do u come in my threads and point out things i say.
In case you didnt know, he played for AC Milan last season and played well. He has now joined Chelsea and is struggling so far therefore last seasons good performance count for nothing therefore he is out of his prime. Understand mate?
Now he is struggling to adapt to English football, but he will soon. He is still in his prime. I will put it in this context for you. C.Ronaldo goes to Spain and starts playing shit for one season? Will you say he is way past his prime? No. Because he isnt. Therefore, go home.
I thinking about age aswell. He is in his 30's and not a lot of strikers are better in their 30's instead of 20's you may know.
