In a unique reversal, Akron Zips wideout Jared ***nano recently transferred to Penn State -- largely because of the NCAA's sanctions against the school. While nine players have decided to leave the Nittany Lions in the face of a postseason ban and fewer scholarships, ***nano saw an opportunity. For about a week, the redshirt freshman talked with his parents and brother -- Penn State safety Jake ***nano -- about a transfer. "With all those guys leaving, it opened up spots and gave me an opportunity," said Jared ***nano, who lives in Williamsport, Pa. "And I've just always wanted to play football there."
