I am an Eagles fan and this is great news for me. Two reasons:I can t stand WR Todd Pinkston and WR Reggie Brown has just upgraded his chances of having an impact season. Maybe not like Anquan Boldin did in 2003, but more like Tampa WR Michael Clayton did last year.
Sorry to burst your bubble but Pinkston is a bigger lost than most think. People remember him for not being able to go over the middle but he did average 18 yards per catch. The most in the NFL and he was the only WR on your team with some starting experience outside of TO. Reggie Brown will not put up Michael Claytons numbers. Reggie Brown isn't that good. Not coming out of college. I expect him to put up average rookie numbers. Greg Lewis is the one that needs to step up. The Eagles have taken a blow this season.
And Reggie Brown wont be like Boldin and Clayton in their rookie year. Boldin was considered a 1st round pick but droped at the combine. Reggie Brown was never considered a 1st round pick
pinkstons loss s a big one. we dont have a good WR core as it is. i do believe Greg lewis is better, but pinkston weas good in the clutch(sometimes) and he did maske good plays. yes he dropped 60% of balls his way, but still hes a monster kloss.
This is dissapointing, because he is able to stretch the field if he can get off the line. But Billy McMullen and Greg Lewis should be able to fill in his spot this year, they've had their time to learn the offense.
Pinkstons loss is gonna create a lot of leverage for Westbrook and TO contracts because the Eagles need them Bad now
Actually no, Westbrook has reported to training camp and unless Buckhalter busts his knee up again this year. It also depends on how Ryan Moats looks as an NFL player
He was expected to report to training camp even when he was holding out, it was just temporary regardless of the turnout
Let me say this...The Eagles won't make it to the Super Bowl...they have no receivers, and TO...well, is being TO so thats self explantory...
