<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He laughed, told jokes and somehow found the time for pictures with all 500 of his basketball campers, but Grizzlies center Lorenzen Wright had more on his mind Tuesday. Ken Moody could tell he did. "It's hard to see him go through this," said Moody, the city's deputy director of recreation services. "Every year I see the excitement in Lorenzen's face when it comes time for this camp." But Moody, whose department has helped sponsor Wright's free coed basketball camp since its beginning eight years ago, said he's noticed a change in Wright. "The excitement is still there, but you can tell he's hurting. He's hurting and it's hard for me to see him hurt like this knowing the commitment and dedication he's had to this city." Wright, a former Booker T. Washington High and University of Memphis standout, three weeks ago made public his desire to be traded from the Grizzlies for the team's apparent unwillingness to discuss a contract extension. Tuesday he said there's been no progress in his contract negotiations. But more disappointing, Wright said, has been what he and his agent, Robert Fayne, perceive as a lack of support from the Grizzlies for Wright's annual basketball camp. "I guess with what we're going through, the negotiations and stuff, they don't want to give me my kids. It shouldn't go like that," Wright said, noting that the Grizzlies had not donated to his camp as they had in the past. "(In previous years) the kids had looked forward to the prizes and all the Grizzly stuff. They just won't be getting any Grizzly prizes this year, but we're going to make sure they get something." </div> Source
