So, as things appear to change, they actually stay the same!! Teflon's era continues, Spielmans era continues, but its OK because The Man has returned, or has he??? With Marino's ridiculous tenure as senior VP now over, Im left feeling as if ive been duped....You all have commented on my "conspiracy theories" in the past, well I have another one for you...I believe Marino never intended to do the job, but H. Wayne Hysucka knew that if he announced that Wanny and Spielman would continue to build, and by build, I mean destroy, his orginazation, the public outcry would be tremendous...So Hysucka decides the way to divert the attention of the Dolfan is to pretend to hire Dan Marino....Say he pays Marino $2Mil to fake the hire for a month, then Marino mysteriously resigns....now, we all forget about the state of the team and concentrate on the Marino debacle....Im disgusted with the team, its management, and its ownership, at this point, I would invite the late Hugh Culverhouse to take over the team....How embarressing for a franchise that is the winningest in the history of sports....it sickens me to no end....Don Shula deserves better, the no name defense deserves better, the 7 team Hall of Famers deserve better, Marino himself deserves better, and god damn it, I fucking deserve better!

I feel your pain, Beef. I was talking to someone the other day about the Dolphins being a consistantly good, but not great team. I told him that I would rather have lower lows in order to have higher highs. Teams don't play in order to win a bunch of games. They play to win THE GAME. I've been bleeding aqua and orange for twenty five years and I want to see the Dolphins win a Super Bowl before the current window of opportunity closes and we have to rebuild. The Dolphins aren't that far away. We played the new World Champs very closely in both games, including a very snowy game in New England, yet I don't have much hope that the Dolphins are going to do much to improve their chances of making a run for the World Championship.

They remind me of the Boston Bruins or RedSox of football. Always good but rarely good enough. In recent years the Redsox moreso just cus they usually start strong then fade down the stretch just like the redsox do. But have consistently won like the Bruins.
