WOW! a west coast game at a reasonable east coast time. RHP - Nathan Eovaldi, (7-2 4.81 ERA) VS. RHP - Matt Shoemaker, (4-6 5.03 ERA) YANKEES NOTES: Ellsbury's return may be set back as he missed his latest rehab start. Stay tuned. When scoring 3 or less runs this season the Yankees are 5-25. And when scoring 2 or less runs they're 2-22. Tonight's lineup...... CF - Gardner 3B - Headley DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira C - McCann RF - Jones (So much for Judge) LF - Young SS - Gregorius 2B - Drew
We win tonight, we finish the LAST West Coast trip of the season 3-4, and a rough stretch of 20 games in 20 days. We'll have some fun banging around teams in the 2nd half when they enter their house of horrors....Yankee Stadium! Yeah, we can also have some fun. I can hear ESPN now, crying about "cheap" Yankee Stadium HRs as we clobber them. GO YANKS!
u r f n kiddin me, i can't watch this chit, if i was eiovaldi i would have pulled a mussina move, pitching my heart out the team sucks with this turkey at the helm....
Damn Headley bases loaded & you throw one into the ground, thank God for Teixeira, that could have easily led to 2 runs.
...^^^good call...Eovaldi was on a short leash for obvious reasons...5.1 innings, 94 pitches, only 56 were strikes...he was as he usually is, very un-economical. ...do you ever post anything that is not Girardi bashing?
...it seems that Headley either looks very good or very bad on every ball hit to him...don't understand how someone who is supposed to be such a good defensive 3Bman can be so inconsistent.
He's been a godsend...has balls and good stuff. Saved the Yanks' bacon plenty of times in his mid-relief unglamorous role. Not a bad pickup by the GM.
