Unfortunately to us east coast guys we'll probably not be awake long enough to see the ending of these west coast games. LHP - Chris Capuano, (0-2 7.36 ERA) VS. RHP - Sonny Gray, (5-2 1.77 ERA) We might be in a little trouble tonight. LF - Gardner 3B - Headley DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira C - McCann RF - Beltran 2B - Drew CF - Young SS - Gregorius
Maybe the Yankees can find a way to get CC into Oakland laundry, I believe he's from Vallejo so let him pitch for his "home " team. Get on it Cashman, offer to pay 90 per cent of CC's remaining salary if Bean will take him. Damn just noticed Crapuano, I thought I saw CC as tonights starter.
You did. I guess they're going to give CC an extra day's rest. I'd think he's been resting for awhile now.
I was confused there because Capuano's initials are also CC. Coincidence? Rick, maybe those missing the end of this game will be fortunate? I'm thoroughly and happily surprised by this Yanks team, and equally so now that they bounced back from that death spiral. I'll be forcing myself to stay up. Hello coffee consumption!
Out here on the West Coast, the only good thing about the Angels, is when the Yanx come to town.... When I did live/work in GA. I could not adapt to the East Coast Time...... 1st Yanx game I watched on TV in Ga, was vs the Angels in Anaheim, damn, game ended at approx: 1:30 am; work started at 5am........ (I know, that's what VCR's were for back then, now DVR's. But, IMO, watching the game the next day, when I already read the sports page, and box scores, just didn't cut it).......
Damn Steve, & you have the balls to call us old. Then again you do have the little ones........I meant children
...same here, ...I may watch a few innings but once my eyes get heavy, I go to bed. ...and it seem like every time I try to stay up late enough to watch the whole west coast game, it goes into extra innings.
Playoffs are a different story but I never feel like being a zombie the next day because of a late May regular season baseball game.
No more horsesh!thing around. I want a good game from CC tonight and start this west coast trip with a win. Fun and games are over. Yanks are due to face Felix in Seattle. Time for CC to step up. And of course scoring a few runs won't hurt.
Just hope Warren throws another good game in his next start and chances are Capuano will help out with his usual crap....and then maybe, probably, we won't be seeing much more of Capuano in the rotation. If the Yanks move Warren out of the rotation while he's still pitching well when/if Tanaka returns, I'm going to be very annoyed.
Looks like McCann is coming around with the bat, always have liked him glad to see him improve at the plate.
Capuano was listed earlier in the day as the starter but I see Sabathia is in there. Question: Which Sabathia will show up tonight?
