The New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 7-5. It was nothing but tears of joy for me. Watching my team, the New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels in their home opener. I have to admit, watching Godzilla bat for the Angels brought back memories. I’ll always remember what he did for the Yankees in their quest for their 27th championship. I was at my brain injured program all day so I couldn’t watch the festivities live but I did see Hideki Matsui get his ring on video from yankees.com. I started crying. I couldn’t help it. You should of seen me, balling my eyes out over Godzilla who was a main reason we won the championship. It was great watching Alex run up to Hideki with the gang of Yankees behind him and hug him. What a tear jerking moment. Hold on a second. I have to get a tissue that’s in the other room. Ok, that felt good, to let it “all” out. It must of been great to watch the game live at the stadium. I bet the fans in the stands will never forget this day. Also on highlights I got to watch Nick Johnson hit a BOMBEROONI in the first inning. Wow, that was astonishing feat. TAKING it to the Angels, I said, TAKING it! He struck them down! It was good to see Alex and Derek Jeter contribute to the win. Do you know what they did to the Angels today? They doled out pain. Pain of losing to the Yankees and losing to the Yankees in the Yankees home opener. Dear Angels, don’t you dare come to Yankees stadium and try to beat them at home when they are trying to get their rings. Never try that again. Thanks because if you do, good bye to you like the band Scandal. I have to mention Andy Dandy. What a performance! What an achievement! The way he executed on the mound and the way he conducted himself as a New York Yankee should? Do you know what he gets for today’s performance? An A. Wait, what? Only an A? No, what he really deserves is an A+. A+ all day. To pitch six shut out innings and strike out six batters shows that he is not mortal. Andy showed that he is ruthless. He showed the Angels not to come around here no more. David Robertson almost gave the game away after Bobby “Bye Bye” Abreu hit a grand slam but Mariano “god” Rivera would not let the game get away. The sandman entered the game and closed out the lights. He had to face the Godzilla. He had to face the hero of last year to help the Yankees win. Ya see, this is what happened… Something was wrong, so Mariano had to shut the light. The Angels had heavy thoughts tonight and they weren’t of snow white. See? That’s what Mariano does! He dominates! He hit Godzilla with fire and finally brought him down and the Yankees won. What a great day. A great “Yankees” day. Even though it was a great day, it was just another day on their way to their next championship.
