RHP - Luis Severino, (0-1, 2.45 ERA) VS. RHP - Drew Hutchinson (11-2, 5.26 ERA) NOTE: Don't let Hutchinson's 11-2 record concern you, he's just ahead of Nathan Eovaldi (12-2) as having the highest run support (7.8 runs per game) which explains the high ERA. Eovaldi is getting 7.2 runs per game support. (4.26 ERA) CF - Ellsbury LF - Gardner DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira C - McCann RF - Beltran 3B - Headley SS - Gregorius 2B - Drew
Have to score check this one, bad storm yesterday knocked out the power until 5 am. Got a huge mess in the yard, down limbs, palm fronds, ect, ect. crock of shit. For a couole of weeks other than some brief periods it just poured down rain, bad gig in this area, thank God I'm not in a flood zone area. Good luck to Seve and if in the lineup Bird.
Opening Day at the Stadium, April 6th, he beat the Yankees 6-1. And he's had hitting support ever since.
Holy shit, talk about a tough break, 2 outs & a fly ball by Tulo to Beltran that he lost in the sun (charged with an error) Tulo ends up on second. Donaldson singles to make it 1-0 followed by a Batista HR for a 3-0 Blue Jay lead. Honestly I'm hoping that they don't reverse the Beltran play & award Tulo with a double because that would make all 3 of the Blue Jay runs as earned & the kid doesn't deserve that.
Kid sabotaged with beltran losing a routine fly ball he's parked under. And note to dickhead cone, that better not be changed to a double. Major league ballplayers have to make that play period when there camped under a ball. Looked a little too nonchalant for me until the end of the play
I' glad to see the fans supporting Seve, good to see those kids in there with an "I want to help attitude"
Thats fucking bullshit changing that to a double. What a joke. And beautista makes the same play an inning later. The official scorer should be embarrassed and tulo should refuse the double. As for beltran play shows why he is a dh on a team with too many of them.
The more I see this Kid, Severino, the more I like what I see in Him..... The best move the Yanx made this year, was not making a move, to get Hamels, rather saving the $$$ and calling up Severino...... The kids got a hot fastball, plenty of movement, looks damn fine for a 21 yr old kid.....
Its amazing Vic, the guys got an ERA of 5.26 & prior to Ellsbury's HR they had 1 hit against this bum.
I really hope this kid doesn't get saddled with this loss. C'mon guys bail him out. His line today should read, 6 innings, 0-runs, 5 hits, 3 walks & 9 strikeouts. I also think A-Rod needs another day or 2 off. He's 3 for his last 33 & he hasn't homered since July 27th. That's 18 games & over 60 ABs. And only 4 RBI during that time.
Kudos to Seve, damn nice job today against a team with a potent lineup. If Pineda comes back the Yankees are going to have to find a way to keep him up. If that includes moving CC to the pen then do it. The Yankees are going to have a pretty good group of call ups this year.
