The New York Yankees won over the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 4-1. Yankee fans, did you see Francisco Cervelli dive for the ball in the stands in the fourth inning? I’ve never seen a play like that in my life. It was so awesome, so unbelievable, so astounding, so astonishing that I couldn’t believe it. If you weren’t a Francisco Cervelli fan now, you have to admit, you are one now. Go ahead, I’ll give you a few seconds to yourself to think about his awesomeness. Ok, did you think about his awesomeness? Good. What about the game calling he did with A.J. Burnett? You can’t escape the fact that Cervelli is a SUPERIOR game caller! He’s superior!!! You also have to admit that some credit has to go to Cervelli for such a tremendous showing from Burnett. Did you see Cervelli go to the mound to tell Burnett to keep his shoulder in? That’s what you call, “managing” the game like a pro. Like a pro would! See Yankee fans, Cervelli is a professional. Being a professional means being an “expert at his or her work.” THAT’S what Cervelli is. He does the fist pump too! What about his hitting?? You didn’t think you’d hear about his hitting, huh? Oh boy. He can hit too! He was causing trouble all night! He went three for three, scoring two runs, sacrificing runners over. It was sick. It was sick what he did to the Orioles. The Orioles are so sick that they need Nyquil. He hit a triple and took off his helmet! Did you see his helmet come off?? Because of that triple, the Yankees got on the board. Oh, Oh, amazing. A.J. Burnett, 7.1 innings pitched, no earned runs, eight strike outs and only two walks for the win. His curveball was devastating. The Orioles wanted no part of it. His ERA now stands at a ridiculous 1.99. Have you ever heard of anything like that before? A 1.99 ERA, in the American League East? I sure haven’t. Hey call me if you did. DOUBT it. Joba Chamberlain got the save. Did you see the way Joba takes off his glove after he strikes out a batter? Isn’t that really cool? I think it’s really cool. I think it’s really cool that the Yankees won too.
