as per Ken Rosenthal. No surprise there given how poorly he has pitched. Also mentioned that they would be trading Joba for pennies on the dollar so doubt he gets moved also. If they make a trade I am guessing they will be giving up prospects. I really hope they can find a platoon RH 1st baseman and a catcher.

After yesterday's joke of a performance the Yankees will be lucky if they get a bag of chips for him.

Cashman should have traded Hughes this past off-season, and had a second chance after his start in Seattle a few weeks back. As usual, he sat on his hands, did nothing, and now has Sunday's clunker as Hughes' last body of work to deal with.

Remember that famous quote from Dandy Don on Monday Night Football, "If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas. Vette, it just seems like for the past 3 or 4 years Cashman has been late in all the player related decisions. It makes you wonder if there is so much interference from above that it practically impossible to get anything done. I know one thing, did anyone else find it strange that Cashman came out and pinned the Sariono deal on Hal. My question is, Didn't we have to make that deal or raise the white flag, so why was Cashman against it. It makes no sense to me, oh like all the other decisions.

I don't think anyone wanted Hughes traded this past off season, he had a good summer in 2012, he looked like a guy starting to get it together, but it was a mistake holding him no doubt.

And who can be surprised nobody wants him? he's just not a consistent starter, he belongs in the pen, been saying it for a while now and I think that day is coming soon, his stock will rise as a reliever.

Bag of chips seems fair. Batters love Hughes. Once you pop, you can't stop.

Somebody will pick him up in free agency. Contending teams just aren't going to be interested.

Looking as his road numbers and considering a team like the Braves with that big park could really use him I'm surprised to hear no interest.

But what does the media know? teams don't talk about deals on the table all the time, Ken Rosenthal doesn't know squat until we do so I would ignore this.

He's a fly ball pitcher so he needs to be in a big park. Hey Lincecum is going to be a FA maybe they just both need a change of scenery.
