RHP - Adam Warren, (4-4 3.64 ERA) VS. RHP - Mike Wright, (2-1 2.96 ERA) The Yankees inconsistency this year is driving me nuts, The'll win 8 of 10 & then lose 7 of 10. Warren really needs to step up today. Todays lineup.......... LF - Gardner 3B - Headley DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira RF - Jones 2B - Drew (a 170 hitter batting 6th, WTF?) SS Gregorius C - Murphy CF - Williams
This team (and franchise) just lacks that curb-stomping attitude. They had it in the late nineties, that take no prisons swag, were gonna beat you early late and often. I just don't sense the confidence anymore. Really miss that vibe from Paulie to Posada to Mo.
After 5 straight quality starts Warren is making the Yankees decision to move him to the pen when Nova comes back easy. Lets hope he settles down now.
Geez Headley WTF are you swinging at? Bases loaded & nobody out & the most they can get out of it is one run on a sac fly. Just pathetic.
This just in....."DREW YOU SUCK!!!!" 1st & 3rd only one out & he pops up to the catcher follow by Gregorius popping up to short. This team just has trouble getting that big hit. They should had had 4-5 runs by now.
Okay here's ANOTHER big opportunity, 2nd & 3rd nobody out. Now bases loaded & still nobody out. C'mon guys don't screw this up.
They have attitude..........IT IS ALL NEGATIVE. Heads bowed after taking called 3rd strike; throwing to wrong bases; heads not into the game.....not knowing where fielders are playing, running miscues, errors up the wazoo. It is an average ball club.....minus the leadership.
I would've put McCann (when he's playing) in the two hole while he's been hitting. Put your four best hitters together, get them as many more ABs as possible, more likely to have them all come to bat in the first inning - and maximize the Yanks' strength. McCann can handle LH pitching so having Gardy and him 1-2 shouldn't be a problem vs LH. Then I would have Headley batting AHEAD of Beltran in the lineup until further notice. lol Go with it for a while or until (if) McCann cools off.
Bases loaded walk to Jones ties it up at 3. Now its up to Drew to either strike out or hit into a DP. That was to easy Drew strikes out looking.
