RHP - Adam Warren, (2-1 4.65 ERA) VS. RHP - Nathan Karns, 2-1 3.79 ERA NOTE: Warren is the first pitcher in Yankee history to not complete 6 innings in his first 9 starts. Lineups to follow...
Tonight's lineup.......... Drew at 3rd base? Seriously to the best of my knowledge he's NEVER played the position. CF - Ellsbury LF - Gardner DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira C - McCann RF - Beltran 3B - Drew 2B - Pirela SS - Gregorius
2-0 Yankees after the Yankees turn in the 1st. Now lets hope we don't do the same thing we did last night.
Just for clarification purposes, "the big donkey" has pitched at least 7 innings three times and only twice has failed to go 6 innings and is averaging more than 6 IP per start. Yanks biggest SP problem currently (imo), is having two wet noodles back to back in the rotation - Warren and Whitley.
And CCs ERA doesn't concern you? (This is rhetorical no need to reply as you will only cite a red Sox starter stats)
Since when is averaging just over 6 IP per game acceptable? This along with a 1-5 record, an ERA over 5, A whip of 1.400 & is on pace to give up over 30 HRs. And you continue to defend this guy. Seriously are you related to him in any way?
Very frustrating stuff. They explode in the first game and then can't do anything for 16 out of the last 18 innings.
