RHP - Michael Pineda, (8-5, 3.79 ERA) VS. RHP - Clay Buchholz, (7-6, 3.27 ERA) Lineups to follow..... CF - Ellsbury LF - Gardner - DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira C - McCann RF - Jones SS - Gregorius 2B - Drew 3B - Figueroa
We will see what this team is made of during this series, they need to go in there and kick some major butt and knock that smirk off of Farrells face. Not too worried about Pineda or Nova, Eovaldidi, different story.
I'm worried about Pineda tonight. Same for Eovaldi in his start vs Redsox. These guys are still young evolving SPs....and we're in new territory with Pineda. First time since 2011 he's pitched more than 76.1 IP in a season and he's had previous trouble at Fenway. I hope he comes up with a good game not only for tonight's chances vs Redsox but also looking down the road at him becoming a legitimate trustworthy "good" pitcher.
Remember those halcyon Days cruising down Storrow Drive headed for the Kenmore Bistros on Friday Nights seeing the lights of Fenway when the Bostons were in town. Dirty Water was a hit while I was up there, never cared for the song or Boston that much but the women were there and I did like to boogie.
"down by the banks of the river Charles, ...that's where you'll find me..along with lovers, muggers and thieves....but they're cool people" (Dirty Water) The Standells. My god, I still remember that song very well.
Yankees get 3 more runs without getting the ball out of the infield. An infield error, Gardner beating out a ground ball & a bases loaded walk to A-Rod.
Break out the Pom Poms for Rick, His Hero, Drew is coming to bat...... I'm not supposed to tell, but Rick is sitting on 100 Drew Rookie BB Cards......
