Sure wish the Yankees had one yesterday. Eovaldi pitching, Jesus Christ, better hope the offense shines today.

Would you prefer keeping Drew or Ryan in the lineup?

Let's take this one today and push Boston back a game further with a chance to begin the "2nd half" four games up in first place which will also be their biggest lead since May 11.

Anxious to see how Eovaldi handles this game and of course Refsnyder getting his post- debut game under his belt in front of a high intensity, hostile crowd.
Good for him as he will have his feet wet for the 2nd half.

Two out three is the mission.

    Go Yanks!

Eovaldi is in the soup again.
Seems like 9/10 of his pitches (fastball and curveballs) are in the fat part of the hitting zones.

3rd inning- what the fuk happened to his splitter?
Has barely thrown one - I don't think he HAS thrown one- as the Redsox are rallying for runs--- at least his splitter tends to go DOWN below the zone more often than his fastball and curveballs.....do you think maybe McCann can take charge of the situation....Eovaldi throws everything McCann calls for without shaking him off....Eovaldi is like a young dog who needs training.

He simply leaves WAY TOO MANY balls over the plate..knee high to waist high.
A recipe for doom for a PITCHER.

    My gosh!

With that throw on the mark, but off balance by DD, perhaps a plan, (yes, "the plan"), would be: Have Headley toss most ball he catches to DD; to make His throws for him; thus lower his errant throw count.......!

    (running like hell)

Who's that new guy, that just grounded out, for the 1st of this Inning...?

I thought the #13 Jersey was slated to be banned from being retired.....

That's a good fkn question, will Hank eventually retire A-Roid's number, or will He do so only under the PR? An Opportunity to make money only....?
Probably no, and no.......since money matters were concluded in agreement by both parties....
    and-

With Incentive funds going to Charity, shouldn't His # be never retired, taken off the Yanx list of #'s tho'; as if it never existed...??? Then use his likeness on Trash Cans, and/or Charitable Donations of Goods........???

    Two annoying constant things: Yankees
stuck on 2 hits; Yankee pitcher giving
    these bums hittable pitches.

Here's my updated evaluation on Eovaldi ....and aside from saying he sucks....
I'll be kind and say he's making David Phelps look good.
The same David Phelps who pitched to a 4.21 ERA and 1.34 WHIP for the Yanks and couldn't make it through a couple of months without disappearing for a month or so with an injury.

By the way.....I don't miss David Phelps. lol
