Today's highest temperature on the day will be 58°. Hopefully Cole will rebound, from one of the worst performances of his career in his last outing. Hopefully the Yanks offensive momentum will continue from yesterday's come back win in the 9th inning, key word: hopefully! Today's Lineup:
I hoped for and somewhat expected Trashman to trade Green and Chapman in the Winter Meetings. Until the Yanx can rebuild their Bullpen and/or replace the 2 aforementioned relievers, then it will be a long painful season. I don't believe Johnny Lasagna is the answer, as much as I would like to believe he is. Obviously I continue punishing myself, by believing Trashman will do the right thing and build a Pitching Staff and a Bullpen.
Today's game should be a freebie on Amazon Prime. Otherwise there is no other broadcast of the Yankees game in Southern California. Should Hal pursue the Epstein as a replacement for Trashman?
I seriously doubt any amount of money could persuade Epstein to come to New York. You would have to uproot his wife and kids. His wife owns a business in Chicago and his kids go to school there. Epstein now owns minority shares in the Red Sox and the Cubs. Perhaps if Hal offered to sell the team to a group including Epstein and Jeter. I'm spitballing here... imo this would be the only way the Yankees could ever return to a glorious dynasty for years to come!
I don't watch very many games featuring other teams but the Yanx batters sure seem to get more than their fair share of Umps incorrectly calling balls and strikes. I've long been a proponent of using technology to get the strike zone right.
I'm wondering how much pole Beltran had to climb toget his Yes Network job. Another Seventeener Houston Mea Culpa who didnot play all that well when a Yankee.
In every phase of the game, this by far has been the best game this team has played this year. I've quickly become a big IKF fan...I like everything about this kid. He's exactly the type player that this team has been lacking for several years now.
He's a good little player. I knew of him when he was playing in Texas. With full playing time had a solid year last year. I'd take a repeat of that in a second.
Mess, gimme a team full of DJ LaMahieu's and IKF's, and I'll be a happy camper, because they would represent the type of game that I grew up with. ...the more Isiah Kiner-Falefa plays in the bigs, the better he will become.
