LHP - CC Sabathia (3-4 5.28 ERA) VS. LHP - Daniel Norris (0-0 5.40 ERA) Line up when available but I'm guessing we'll see some changes tonight. Well this is different................... CF - Ellsbury DH - Rodriquez RF - Beltran 1B - Teixeira 3B - Headley LF - Young C - Murphy 2B - Petit SS - Gregorius
As big games in April go, lol, this is the first not-so-big, "big" game. Chance to win first series of season and winning series is always a good thing and I've read this kid Norris has good stuff AND of course it's CC's first outing. Only the 3rd game of the season but it would be nice to see CC pitch a "good" game, or at least give us a decent start at this point vs a good hitting team without getting knocked around with the HR ball.
continued.... I am NOT going to over react if CC has a poor outing and I will also give him some slack for the first month or two as long as he isn't consistently imploding by the 4th-6th innings.
Here's the team this evening Ellsbury CF Druggie DH Beltran RF Texeria 1B Headley 3B Young LF Murphy C Petit 2B Gregorius SS
Good, and I don't care if they get no-hitted. (yes I do lol).... At least Girardi IS trying something and tweaking the batting order, and I'm okay with it.
Our old buddy Shane Greene, 4 hits 1 run, 1 walk, 5 strike outs Tigers 7to 1. Gotta feeling we're going to miss that guy.
Yeah but look at the bright side, CC had one good inning so far. Unfortunately he sucks in the 2nd so giving up 3 runs already.
I'm sorry, my mistake, make that 4-0 on 5 hits & its only in the 2nd. It seems like every time the clown pitches the Yankees are playing catch up.
...Sabathia being Sabathia and Greene pitching well... shocker ! ...tell me again about Sabathia's velocity.
I'll gladly tell you about his location and Greene hasn't made the AllStar team yet. And may I also tell you that this is April 9? lol....I have a feeling you aren't too thrilled with this reply, sorry 'bout that.
