LHP - C.C. Sabathia, (3-7 5.38 ERA) VS. Mat Latos, (2-4 5.44 ERA) Lets see which Sabathia shows uo tonight. LF - Gardner 3B - Headley DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira C - McCann RF - Beltran SS - Gregorius 2B - Drew CF - Williams
Latos - He can be very tough. lol 8.5? Latos has been brutal his last two starts but pitched pretty good the previous outings excluding his first start of the season giving up 7 r in 2/3 IP. I won't venture a guess....he could get rocked, but he could come up with a good game especially with the Yankee lineup in a funk. And of course we have CC, and he better get his ass in gear or I'm going to grab the long cane and personally yank him off the SP mound from my couch.
...if CC sucks again tonight he needs to go to the pen and allow Warren to take his spot, and if Eovaldi has another poor outing in his next scheduled start Nova should be also considered.
It really doesn't matter how bad the opposing pitchers HAVE BEEN because it seems like with the Yankees anemic offense it makes them look Marichal.
Eovaldi is annoying me,,,alot. Watching him pitch is like sitting in a dentist's chair.....listening to drilling machines from other rooms.
Read a Wallace Matthews article yesterday *taken with much salt) that Eovaldi is one of these laid back happy go lucky types whose poor performance would not have bothered him too much figuring he'd get another game. Nice to see he's laid back but a bad gig for someone who has to go out there every five days. This is the type that need to be grabbed by the stacking swivel, adjusted, or traded. I'll also submit that with most on Warren, the man has earned a starters role.
...the thing about Eovaldi that is so puzzling and frustrating is that he clearly has the stuff to be a good pitcher but his command/location are atrocious. He has a good slider and a 95+ mph FB but leaves them over the fat part of the plate way too often. The thought was that Rothschild would help him but so far that has not happened. Left handed batters own him. (.400 .453 .556 1.008)
and to think A.J. is having a "Year Of His Life".....6-2 with a .190 ERA.....! I'm kind of surprised why Warren hasn't been given C.C.'s SP gig, sending Sabathia to the Pen, long term relief.....??? I'm not expecting a turn around for C.C. either........!
I heard the Intl. Siberian League is looking for Pitchers, nothing like playing in -60 below weather.......
One just opened up near me, I love that place, but it doesn't love me. "I need to stay in shape" " What shape?" "Hey smartass....round is a shape".
