Another day in paradise for us Yankee fans praying that our team will not be swept by the Padres. Notice that Headley is sitting, probably so he doesn't give another on field display that made Padres Fans glad he is gone.

...^^^ lol...yeah, the Padres got the better end of that deal...and hell, the Padres also had to send $1 Million cash along to the Yanx for the Yanx to take Headley off SD's hands...Cashman justified the deal by saying that Headley was "an upgrade" over Solarte...uhhh, good call Cashman.

My biggest issue has been, and still is the Yankee org's inability to bring along good young SP.
It's an outright disgrace bordering on scandalous.
It remains - the last homegrown SP good enough to stick around near the front of the rotation was Pettitte.
We know about their problems with bad contracts and aging veterans with no trade clauses but there were other things which could've been tried.
While the Yanks continued to send two SP out there with ERAs of 5.00, they had two kids in the minors.

Dietrich Enns LHSP 15 GS AA/AAA 1.73 ERA 1.14 WHIP,
he'll be 26yrs old next year, wtf are they waiting for?
How much longer does he have to toil in the minors before he gets a shot?
And he's a left hander! Goodness knows this team has been starving for a good young LHSP. Another kid being warehoused on the way to Palookaville.

Chad Green RHSP (via Wilson trade), 14 GS AAA 1.54 ERA 0.98 WHIP
He'll also be 26yrs old next year, the clock is ticking on some of these kids pitchers - they need to get their feet wet.
He's getting his 2nd career start today, one of the better things to happen to this team as they at least get a look at a young SP.

The "easiest" fastest way to turn a team around AND give your team chances to win games is sending good young inexpensive SP out there.

Nova and Eovaldi should be on short leashes and pitching for their suppers or else dump their asses!

Gardner and Ellsbury: speed demons who can't get on base. Texeria: slugger who can't hit anymore. Beltran not in lineup this team does not prosper. Better pitch your ass off Mr. Green you're backed by duds not studs.

Cashman to Girardi, "Don't play Headley today. Do not want that Solarte showing us up again.
Can't afford more angry fans booing my expertise."
Like Yankee fans will forget all about it!.......and stop questioning his
    management gaffes.

Sorry, if this is a repeat offense........but how many times do Yankee fans
have to see a traded player coming back to show up this bumbling team,
and that includes their all-knowing GM.

    Lol @ Joe the Genius.
Green is sailing along after 6 IP on 75 pitches and JTG claps like a circus seal then pinch hits for him in the 7th inn and brings in Betances who threw over 20 pitches yesterday.....and of course Betances gets himself into and out of trouble with the tying and lead runners in scoring position.
Green had pitched 7 inn in two of his last three starts at Scranton and threw just 85 pitches in his last start at AAA and has thrown over 100 pitches in five of his starts.

Girardi couldn't manage a telephone booth, and he's detrimental to young SP.

I'll say it for every time we say "fire Cashman"
    :Fire Girardi too !

Regardless of today's outcome, the Yankees need a new look.......from top to bottom.

This is Girardi being cute.......sort of a change of pace........that may backfire. He really wanted to
    rest Chapman!

Overall poor, lost the first two, got a nice game from Green, can he do as well against the East Division leaders. Neither Betances or Miller looked that impressive. They won but God Damn how shitty they looked doing so. I see the Yankees will face Shields in Chicago. That man has been getting his ass pounded watch him throw a three hitter against the Yankees. OK time to watch my brother and sister active duty personnel at Bragg enjoy MLB.

These Idiots should be embarrassed only getting 1 win against the lowly Padres. Girardi should of just put in Chapman instead of Swarzak, he was already warmed up anyway. Getting a win is always a fucking project with this group.
