I know it's only ST............besides watching Mitchell, the Big 3 in this lineup.....Gardner, Ellsbury and Headley have been dullsville. It's a shame these three make the club. But that's Yankee world for another year. I will just keep thinking "the kids".
...Mitchell leaving way too many pitches over the middle of the plate...he's pretty much throwing batting practice right now.
It's early. Mitchell has a ways to go. If this continues, he'll be pitching in Scranton. The 3 hombres also need to get their act in order. Truth, do not see it happening. Yankees on the short end of a 6-1 score this PM.
You beat me to the punch on that one, B-O-R-I-N-G as all hell. They remind me a bit of the Rays Broadcast team.
a beatdown by the Bucs, .... only pleasant thing with today's game, was hearing from Gene Michael...~! imo..
Good to hear from "The Stick". Liked him over Cashman. He knows talent; always did. The OOOfers....Headley, Gardner & Ellsbury went O for 9. That's how they lead! LOL
Gardner and Ellsbury, or Goober and Clod as I referred to them last year. Times about up for them with those young hungry kids in there. If they lose their jobs tough. Goes for Headley as well. At least Gardner did do some good stuff in the early days. What the hell has Ellsbury brought to the Yankees besides an armored car to carry his salary. The man has underperformed and has no leadership qualities one would expect of a player with his time and service. Same thing can be said for Headley. Yep, come on Cashman find a way to get rid of those people.
...^^^I can stand having to endure Gardner for the duration of his contract because he's at least a home grown player...but this team would be so much better off without Headley and Ellsbury taking up roster spots. ...not sure what kind of package it would take or how much money the Yanx would have to eat but I'd sure like to see both of them gone...freeing up an OF spot and the 3B spot would make things a lot more manageable as far as giving a couple of the youngsters a shot.
as 016 went by like a shit storm at Lh Thunder Alley last year, and with the influx of a shitload of good prospects, who could (probably)-easily take over the job; it's becoming harder to endure the thought of Headcase playing on the field at all....... trade him for a player to be named later, take a loss, addition by subtraction....
